Privacy Policy

Acknowledgment

  • By accessing or using Virnah, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand how information may be handled.
  • Your use of the service is also subject to the Terms of Service.
  • Virnah is a beta service for testing and evaluation, and its data practices may change as the product develops.
2.

Information collected

  • Account information such as your email address when you register.
  • Messages, conversations, and pinned items you choose to store.
  • Subscription status, billing identifiers, and basic usage information needed to operate paid plans.
  • Basic technical information needed to operate and protect the service.
  • Records of account warnings, restrictions, and appeals, including the reasons given and any message you send with an appeal.
  • Complete payment card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Virnah.

How information is used

  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve Virnah.
  • Authenticate accounts and save conversations across devices.
  • Generate responses to your requests.
  • We do not sell personal information or use conversations to train AI models.

Storage and deletion

  • Account data is stored using service providers, including Supabase.
  • Guest conversations remain in browser storage until account creation or local data removal.
  • You can delete conversations from the app.
  • Account deletion removes data associated with the account, except for the security records described under Location and network information, subject to backups and legal obligations.
  • If we close or suspend an account for violating our Terms of Service, we keep its data, including conversations, so that decisions can be reviewed, appealed, and reversed.

Location and network information

  • When you use Virnah, we record your approximate location (country and city) and a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, along with the time you were last active.
  • We use this to keep the service secure and to detect abuse, such as many accounts created from one network.
  • We may use this information to identify accounts that are connected by the same network. An account that appears connected to a suspended account may be restricted while our team reviews it.
  • We do not store your raw IP address.
  • This information is kept indefinitely, including after an account is deleted.

Account restrictions and appeals

  • Authorized staff may keep private notes about an account while investigating abuse or a support request. These notes are not visible to you.
  • Appeals are read by our moderation team. We keep your appeal and our reply with the account record.
7.

Service providers

  • We use providers for hosting, authentication, storage, payments, error monitoring, web research, and AI response generation.
  • Providers process information only as needed to deliver their services.
  • Each provider may have its own privacy terms.
8.

Your choices and rights

  • You may request access to or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law.
  • You can manage or delete many conversations directly in the app.
  • Contact the team through the app for a privacy request.
9.

Policy changes

  • We may update this policy as the service changes.
  • The date on this page shows when it was last updated.
  • We will not use a policy update to remove rights that cannot legally be waived.

Virnah is currently in beta and under active development. Features, limits, and documentation may change during testing.
